- HISTORY -

For the early history of the Four Winds Center Policedog we must go back to 1991. At that time Tonnie Boeijen has been training for 17 years in the KNPV (Royal Dutch Police Dog Association). He sold sometimes one of his private dogs but on a certain moment he was given the opportunity to sell a group of dogs to a new customer in America. This man looked for very high quality dogs for the total training of these dogs. Tonnie took the challenge and went with his dogs to America.

At a certain point business went so well because of the good quality of his dogs, he decided to make the business in dogs his profession.

Initially he had his house in the village of Geffen with a few kennels, but since the demand for dogs became rapidly higher there was not enough space any more.

An existed house was purchased with enough land and extensibility just outside the village of Geffen. In 1996 we began building a new, wonderful kennel designed by Tonnie himself. In this kennel are all required facilities available to give the dogs the best care and also to ensure that they receive an excellent training.

After several years Tonnie started with the total training of his own dogs. The first years were mainly narcotics patrol dogs in America, but soon several large government agencies demanded also a total product.

With high quality and good training methods, Four Winds build up their good reputation with not only supply of trained dogs, but also the education and training of the new dog handlers and the creation of an entirely new dog unit within various government agencies.
